She was born January 24, 1947 in Ponca City, Oklahoma and was the second and youngest daughter of Frank and Mary K. Butterfield.
Suzanne lived in Austin, Texas from 1973 until 2004 and had a long, successful career with the Texas Employment Commission and later with the Austin Police Department, Homicide Unit. It was in APD Homicide that she found her true fit and spoke of the original detectives there throughout the rest of her life.
She is survived by daughters, Sandra L. Martin of Palm Bay, Florida and Amanda R. Simpkins of Round Rock, Texas.
