Originally from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Janice moved with her family to Austin in the 1960s. She spent the majority of her adult life working for the City of Austin Police department in various roles as well as with the University of Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sergeant Earl Hall of the Austin Police Department, with whom she was married from 1976 to his passing in 2002. She is survived by her siblings − Sharon Morgan of Blanco, TX, Kevin Bloomer of Llano, TX, and Scott Bloomer of Austin, TX; her children − Jeff Hall and wife, Nonna Hall, of Eldred, NY; Matthew Hall and wife, Jennifer Elliott-Hall, of Leander, TX; and Sheridan Reeb and husband, Wade Reeb, of Amarillo, TX; as well as grandchildren − Jaelynne Reeb and Alison Reeb.
The family would like to thank those who helped care for her in her final few days, including the staff in the IMC unit at Seton Hospital and especially nurses Roni Hudson and Stephanie Davis, as well as Hospice Austin.
Funeral services honoring Janice's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2016, at Hyde Park Baptist Church, 3901 Speedway, Austin. She will be laid to rest at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.
