Eugene Clyde Holland, age 73, passed away on July 18, 2006.

He was born on June 20, 1933 to Albert Cleo and Laura Alice Holland. Eugene ("Pop") served in the United States Armed Forces for a span of 24 years, eventually retiring from the Army with the rank of Sgt. 1st Class in 1979. Following his military career, he was employed by the Austin Police Department until his retirement in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Edith (Keyko) Holland; daughter Andrea Hester and husband Chris; stepdaughters Sandie Kennedy-Bender and Yolanda Hinkley; stepson Charles Hinkley and wife Suzannah; sisters Rena Reveile and husband Jessie, Peggy Clakley, Linda Mohr and husband Wayne, and Brenda Carnahan; brother Jerry Holland and wife Kay; and numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, stepdaughter Shauna Jacobson and brother-in-law Dale Clakley.

The family would like to thank the Temple Veteran's Administration palliative care staff. Visitation will be held Friday July 21, 2006, from 5:00 until the time of his Memorial Service at 7:00 PM, at All Faiths Funeral Services South Location 326-8878.
