Alma Mae Driver, 79, of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Williamsport Home after a battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born October 3, 1937 in Farrandsville, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary Ellen (Englert) Morgret. Alma married Thomas Bruce Driver on October 10, 1958, and together they shared 50 years of marriage before his death on February 5, 2008.

Known as Mae to family and friends, she attended primary school in Farrandsville and graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1955. She was a homemaker and long-time resident of Cogan Station and Linden. Alma enjoyed vacations for many years with family at Rehoboth Beach, DE, camping at Raystown Lake and elsewhere, and a number of road trips to Florida and the American West.

Surviving are a son Bruce Thomas Driver of Sudbury, MA; two grandsons Eric J. Driver of Sudbury, MA, Benjamin C. Driver, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Shirley E. Farrington of Lamar; a brother Robert W. Morgret of Farrandsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Alma was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles E. Morgret, Jr., Richard A. Morgret, and Roy B. Morgret; and a daughter-in-law Lisa P. Driver.

Funeral services will be held privately with burial in Dunnstown Cemetery.
