Patrick S. Bowers, of Knoxville, passed away at home after a brief illness. Born May 5, 1949 in Frederick, he was the son of Joseph P. Bowers and L. Jacqueline (Penner) Coulter. He was the step-son of Lawrence Coulter.
He lives on through his wife Debbie, daughter Tricia and her husband, Chris Atkins, and brother Michael.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years in May 1990. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a former member of Brownsville Church of the Brethren.
He loved spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and gardening.

Pat lived in the old stone house next to my great-great-grandparents (William & Addie Coulter) farm. His step-father Lawrence Coulter was my great-grandmother Gladys Allen's brother. We used to take her out to visit her various relatives in the country where she grew up and a visit to see Pat was often included.
