Mrs. Catharine Barnett of Leamersville, wife of Joseph Barnett, of near Duncansville, departed this life on the 5th inst. She had been in delicate health for years and lately was stricken with pneumonia, which her frail body could not resist. She was nearing the end of her 56th year.
She was a member of the German Baptist church and was noted for her purity and peaceful life. She leaves a sorrowing husband and two sons and two daughters to mourn an irreparable loss. The funeral services were conducted by Elder James Sell. Interment at Carson Valley cemetery.
