Dorothy 'Jean' (Fogleman) Brungart March 25, 1929 - November 26, 2009 Dorothy "Jean" (Fogleman) Brungart, 80, wife of Ralph E. Brungart, of Loganton, was surrounded by her family on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, and went peacefully to her final home. Born in Lewistown on March 25, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Myrtle (Leiter) Fogleman. She was a 1947 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton. Jean and Ralph were wed on June 26, 1948 and had celebrated over 61 years of marriage together. She was the former Greene Township secretary for over 22 years. Also, in earlier years, she had been employed by the former Beschler's Store in Loganton and would provide housekeeping to various families. Jean enjoyed raising chickens and had a regular egg delivery route to customers throughout Sugar Valley. She was a member of the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, Eastville and a member of the Ladies Aid Association. Jean enjoyed embroidery and listening to music. Along with her husband, she is survived by a son, Ron Brungart (Joyce), of Mill Hall; two daughters, Connie Hicks (Stephen), of Howard, and Bonnie Muthersbaugh (Willard), of Spring Mills; six grandchildren, Rhonda Packer (Henry, "J.R."), of Stoneboro, Nathan Hicks (Danielle), of Howard, Matthew Hicks (Jodi), of Spring Mills, Sarah Hurlburt (Jim), of Reedsville, Joshua Fultz (Maranda Gurner), of Spring Mills, Caleb Fultz, of Spring Mills; seven great grandchildren, Emily Hurlburt, John Hurlburt, Laura Hurlburt, Joseph Covalt, Joshua Covalt, Caleb Fultz, Jr. and Faith Fultz; and two great-great grandchildren Tristan and Peyton Covalt. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Fogleman. The funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, Eastville with Pastor Ken Geisewite officiating. Following the service, the interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. The family would prefer to have contributions to be made to her church in her memory. Arrangements by Wayne P.
