Born in Kingston NY and raised primarily in the hamlet of Westford NY. He ran away from home in 1944 with a friend to join the army because he thought he would miss WWII. Two of his older brothers were serving already. His father discovered where he was and he was kicked out of the paratroopers for being too young. Dad loved this country and would not tolerate those who didn't. He lived to serve his country and his family, he never thought of himself.
