She married Conrad Meyer, son of Carsten Heinrich Friedrich Meyer & Anna Dorathea Ritz in Iowa, on 17 October 1873, in Iowa, and she bore him 7 children: Carl John Edward, Louis Ernest Henry, Elizabeth, Ernest August, Mary Elizabeth (Mrs. Celestino Olvera), Henry and William August.
Lizzie's death certificate shows she died of Cardio Renal in Niles Twp, Floyd, Iowa, and was buried in Rowley Hill Cemetery on August 28, 1931. Conrad preceeded her in death in 1929, and one daughter, Elizabeth, had died in 1892.
