"Her messages will deal with "The Clash of Cultures in Africa Today", with slides used in illustration, and all in the various communities interested are cordially invited to hear her. Dr. Pettengill's several years' experience as a missionary doctor qualify her to speak intelligently on this most interesting topic. She is a graduate of Seattle-Pacific College, Seattle, Wash., holds an MS degree from the University of Washington, and a medical degree from Woman's Medical College in Philadelphia. Fast-moving events in both the areas of education and religion in Africa are creating a favorable intellectual and spiritual atmosphere which makes possible a higher civilization than Africa has ever known, and Dr. Pettengill's lectures revolve around this theme. Following her series of lectures, the speaker will sail from New York on the African Dawn March 20, to return to her work in Southern Rhodesia. Until she sails, she may be addressed: Anesthesia Dept., Bellevue Hospital, New' York City, N. Y."
