Bruce Beasley was my sister's fiance. They planned to marry in 1975, but Hodgkin's Disease claimed his life before that happened. We still miss Bruce and always will.

His obituary from the August 16, 1975 Mooresville Times:

A 25-year-old employee of Allison Division of General Motors, James Bruce Beasley of 21 Circle Drive, Mooresville, died Friday morning at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Beasley had been ill for seven months.

A native of Indianapolis, he was born April 8, 1950, the son of James L. and Rosemary Hurt Beasley.

The lifelong Morgan County resident graduated from Mooresville High School in 1968.

Surviving him are his parents of Mooresville; a sister, Mrs. Cheryl Grimme of Indianapolis, and the grandparents, Mrs. Virgil Beasley of Mooresville and Mrs. Frank Steele of Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Mooresville First Christian Chruch with the Rev. Ron Parker officiating.

Friends may call at the Carlisle and Son Chapel, Mooresville, tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and Sunday afternoon from 2 o'clock until 9 o'clock that evening.

Friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
