David L.Fisaga was the fourth born, second son to Taumaoe Logoafi Fisaga and Taualai Solaita Fisaga both from American Samoa. His mother and my father in law are brother and sister.
Dave has 3 children. Nahznibaa born Feb 2, 1997. Tavita born August 23, 1998, and Shundiina born April 16, 2000. Dave passed the day before his daughter Nahznibaa's 9th birthday.
Although my husband and him were first cousins, many of the cousin's grew up together calling each other brother and sister. So David had loads of brothers and sisters. What I remember most about Dave is his smile. I think if you look through all his photos a smile graces his face. He had a smile like sunshine that could brighten the most darkest day. We had the pleasure of spending his last Thanksgiving with him, his 3 children, his brother and brother in law, both named Tony, sister's Sita and Sila, niece's Cathie and Viktoria. Nephews TJ, Taumaoe, and Dimitri, and cousin's Mi'i and Moni. He was telling us not to cut our son's hair so that he could be like "Uncle Dave." He was letting his hair grow at that time. Dave had such a strong spirit here on earth, I know he is watching over his loved ones still here. He now has 2 more nieces, Taualai and Zoe. Along with niece Naomi and nephew Jay.
David has a lot of family and friends who will miss him dearly. Here are just a few; his brother Tony, sister's
Charlotte, Rosita, Priscilla, Fuatino. He was a very proud father of his three children; Daughter Nazhnibaa, son Tavita, and daughter Shaundiina. Uncles Milo, Tula, Tolia (who proceeded him in death, also on Find A Grave) Ben (passed in 2011 also on Find A Grave), Toetu, and Aniani; Aunts Leleo, Penny, (both proceeding him in death) Faga, Laufasa, Tafa, and Charmaine. Cousins Big John (who proceeded him in death, also on Find A Grave) Timo, Lei, Lela, Milo, Sandy, Susan, Fuli, Tolia, Taualai, Lia, Rusty, Siatiu, Laupati, Sale, Soia, Louis, Charmaine, Jerry, Chris, Ben, Duke, John, Paki, Fred, Wesley, Tony, Milo, Ben, Tula, Sefa, Sao, and Smurf. Along with their spouses and children.
Dave at one time was a correctional officer in Florence Arizona, but moved back to his home in San Francisco. He was a avid San Francisco fan.
Cause of death: Heart failure after having a seziure.
