Mrs. Ida M. Stafford Burkett, 77 of 215 Helen St., died at 4:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hopsital where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been in failing health for seven years. She was born in Sidney, Ind., on July 22, 1895 and came to Mishawaka 50 years ago from the Warsaw, Ind. area. As Ida M. Circle she was married to Ora E. Stafford on Dec. 19, 1914. He died Aug. 9, 1965. She married Alva Burkett on Feb. 18, 1968 in Mishawaka.

He survives, in addition to three sons, John Stafford of Tamplas, Fla., Leo Stafford of Mishawaka, and A. D. Stafford of Elendive, Mont.; four daughters, Mrs. Paul Praklet and Mrs. George Hayden of Mishawaka, Mrs. Robert Davis Jr. of South Bend, and Mrs. Albert De Witt of Edwardsburg, a brother Harry Circle of Leesburg, Fla., 22 grnadchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel where arrangements are being completed.

BURKETT - Funeral services for Mrs. Ida M. Stafford Burkett, 77, of 215 Helen St., who died Tuesday morning in St. Joseph Hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Rev. Worthy Rowe, pastor of the Apostolic Temple, South Bend, will officiate and burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Sidney, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
