Dana Elizabeth Dyer, age 34 of Blairsville, Ga, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at her home. Dana was born Friday, March 31, 1972 in Coahoma Co. MS to the late William Belmont McClenic and Ellen Read Kennedy. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and a Third Grade Teacher in Union County Elementary School. She was preceded in death by biological father, William Belmont McClenic.
Survivors include: husband, Tim Dyer, son, Logan Chandler Dyer, mother & father, Ellen R. & Charles A. Kennedy of Blairsville, brother & sister in law, Michael Scott & Danita Owenby Kennedy of Blairsville, brother, Joshua Read Kennedy of Blairsville, sister, Stephanie Kennedy Hogan of Atlanta, father & mother-in-law, Tommy & Donna Dyer of Blairsville, grandmother, Elizabeth M. Read of Blairsville, grandmother, Lucille McClenic of Vance, Miss, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts & a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 2:00PM from the Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. George Cline officiating. Music will be provided by Antioch Baptist Church Choir, Patsy Davenport, Michael, Danita, and Joshua Kennedy, Tammy Blasingame and Sarah Floyd. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Scott Byers, Sean Byers, David Dyer, Keith Freeman, Alan Freeman and Brian Horton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9, Friday, July 14.
