Actor. Played 'Albert Tatlock' on "Coronation Street" from 1960-1984. Jack went to school with Gracie Fields and at the age of 12, started to play juvenile parts in the Theatre Royal in Rochdale, his home town. After WWI, he toured in the original productions of Dracula and Frankenstein, where he met his soon to be wife, Betty Murgatroyd. He ran the Colwyn Bay theatre, playing most of the Male roles during WWII, as there were a shortage of men at that time. He appeard in 18 films and more than 100 TV shows including more than 1700 episodes of "Coronation Street." He was awarded the MBE in 1983, and raised thousands of pounds for charity. He died in Llandudno General Hospital on 31 March 1984 at the age of 88 years.
