Musician. Popular singer and bass player who fronted The Herbs in New Zealand in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as Be Bop Delux in England, and Tandori Cassette. Tumahai appeared in the movie "Once Were Worriers," and was a prolific sessions performer. The Herbs had a huge hit in 1986 with Dave Dobbyn's "Slice Of Heaven," from the soundtrack to the animated film "Footrot Flats." The single was voted one of the Top Ten New Zealand songs of all time.
