Korean War US Army Veteran

Lefty was born February 10, 1929 in Christopher, Illinois the son of the late Jacob and Rosella (Wolz) Schwind. He was a 1946 graduate of Christopher High School and a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a 59 year member of First Christian Church and currently a member of Crossroads Christian Church. Lefty retired as Branch Claims Manager from Ohio Casualty Insurance Co. after 30 years of service. He was a member and past president of Tri-State Adjustors Association. Lefty was a 50 year member, Past Master of Reed Masonic Lodge #316 and a member of Scottish Rite, Hadi Temple, Past Worthy Patron of Eastern Star, member and past president of Legion of Honor Drum and Bugle Corp and a 33rd Degree Mason. He is survived by nieces, nephews, special friends and caregivers, Sharon and Jon Boyles and a host of other friends and lodge brothers. Lefty was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary Schwind in May 2013 and two brothers, Howard J. and Ray A. Schwind.
