Martha E. Everhart Bryant 92, of Avon, Indiana went to be with our Lord, whom she loved and served, on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. She was born March 24th, 1917 in Indianapolis.
She was a cook's helper for 19 years at Washington High School. Martha has been a long time supporter of children through the Mission of Mercy. Her walk of life was a dedication to her Lord through her daily devotion, her sense of humor, her commitment, and especially her love of family and friends.
Left on Earth to cherish her memory, sons, Ronald (Alicia) Everhart, Steven (Linda) Everhart; daughter, Thelma (Lloyd) Wheeler; grandchildren, Mary O'Connor, John Mericle, Angie (Dave) Harbaugh, Maria Everhart, Timothy Everhart, Christie Lin Everhart, Scott Everhart; 8 great grandchildren; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Jean) Toler and Don (Joyce) Toler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Everhart; husband, Arthur Bryant; and son, John Everhart; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Everhart; brother George Toler; and sister-in-law, Minnie Toler.
A Celebration of Martha's life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel, with visitation there from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. The burial is at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
