Daughter of Sothronia (Bryant) and William Walker Cravens, she was the sixth out of seven children. She married Elzia Newton Bryant. They had four children: Tommy, Alec Walker, Helen Louise and Kenneth.

Her obituary from the January 9, 1946 Adair County News:

Mrs. Elzey Bryant Dies Suddenly at Craycraft

Mrs. Nola Lee Bryant, 44, died suddenly of a heart attack at her home in the Craycraft community on Sunday, January 6. Mrs. Bryant was a native of this county and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tine Bryant [sic]. She is survived by her husband, Elzey [sic] Bryant; a daughter, Miss Louise Bryant, and four sons, Hollis, Kenneth and Walker Bryant, all of Adair County, and Thomas Bryant of Louisville, and three brothers, Marvin Bryant and Nolan Bryant of Cincinnati, and Walker Bryant of Craycraft. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Freedom Church, conducted by Rev. J. O. Wolford. Interment was in the Freedom Cemetery.

Errors in the obituary are the names of her parents and her husband. Her parents were Sothronia (Bryant) and William Walker Cravens. Mr. and Mrs. Tine Bryant were her granduncle and grandaunt. Her husband's name was actually Elzia but the pronunciation was Elzey.
