Rissie Evans, 74, died Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She was the sister of Bertha Zirkelbach and the stepmother of Edna McGuigan, Lucy Norris, and Otis Evans, all of Muncie.
Mrs. Evans was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky, where she lived most of her life until moving to the Lafayette area to make her home with a daughter, Agnes Sallee.
She was a member of Jerico Baptist Church in Russell Springs.
Her husband, Floyd Evans, died in 1967.
Surviving in addition to her daughter and her Muncie relatives are another stepson, William Evans of Richmond; a stepsister, Emma Lois Hoskins of Indianapolis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Konzelman-Hahn Funeral Home at Oxford. Calling hours there are 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Rainsville.
