The son of Earl and Marjorie (Shoulders) Sullivan.
Earl was my dad's younger brother. I've been close to Uncle Earl's family my whole life. In 1970, I was 13 years old and I was really looking forward to my new first cousin coming into this world.
We were all so sad when he didn't make it. But none of us were as sad as his parents.
Twelve years later they had a daughter, Heather.
I know that one day she'll get to meet her older brother in heaven. Of course, we plan on that being a long way off in earthly terms. But in heavenly terms, it will be but a twinkling of the eye.
David's dad is already there with him.
As I write this, it is September 2007. David just got to meet his Grandma Gladys at the beginning of this week. I'm sure she was glad to finally meet him there.
