Suzanne Hays Billman, 86, of Speedway passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2007 after a brief illness. She was born August 23, 1920 in Bloomingburg, Ohio to the late Orland Hays and Mabel [Kirkpatrick] Hays Dick. After living and working many years in Muncie, Indiana, and northern Virginia, she retired to Speedway in 1993. She attended the Speedway Church of the Nazarene and Speedway Christian Church, was an active long-time member of the Healthplex "Fit-over-Fifty" aerobics class, and had also been a volunteer for the Indianapolis Free Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons, George Billman (and his wife, Melissa) of Herndon, Virginia, and Scott Billman (and his wife, Nancy) of Speedway. Also surviving her are eight grandchildren, Robin Garcia, Beth Lucas, Kyle Kersey (and his wife, Kaitlin), Alex Billman, Libby Snider (and her husband, Chris), Matt Billman, Kate Billman, and Josh Billman; four great-grandchildren, Angel Garcia, Braeden Kersey, and Hannah and Emma Snider and a nephew Jim Morrison. Calling will be Saturday morning, April 28, at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel. Burial will be at the family gravesite in New Holland, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
