FREDERICK A. MCEWEN

Frederick Alexander McEwen retired as a master sergeant with the Air Force after 22 years of service, including during the Vietnam and Korean wars.

Born in Colton, son of Morris and Iola Woodward McEwen, he graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School in 1946.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3034, the Masonic Lodge and St. James the Less Episcopal Church, all of Ashland, Va., and a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

He was married to the former Mary Theresa Rufino for 52 years.
