Funeral services for Daniel Robert "Dan" Trigg, age 75, of Elkhart, retired lumberman, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bailey Funeral Home with Archie Waldrum and the Rev. John McLean officiating. Burial was in Guiceland Cemetery. Mr. Trigg was a a native of Anderson County. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Cora Ethel Wells Trigg; infant son, Marvin Oscar Trigg; and parents, William Alanson Trigg and Sarah Ann McKinney Trigg. Survivors are two sons, Archie Trigg of Elkhart, and Hayden Trigg of Palestine; three daughters, Mrs. Alton (Mary Lois) Morehead and Mrs. Weldon (Gracie Lanell)Easley, both of Elkhart, and Mrs. Lloyd (Darlene Louise) Brown of Houston; twelve grandchildren; brothers, Willie Trigg of Camden, Lee Trigg of Grapeland, and Charlie Trigg of Elkhart; and sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Lennie Estelle) Denman of Grapeland, and Mrs. Minnie Garrison of Elkhart. Pallbearers were George Gaines, Bill Thedford, Mr. Murdock, Devoin Garrison, John Ralph Wells, and Bobby Gene Wells. All friends of the family were honorary pallbearers.
