Gracie Lanell Trigg Easley was born on August 4, 1927 to Daniel and Cora Trigg in Salmon, Texas. She lived her entire life in the Salmon and Elkhart areas. She died on April 14, 2004.

Gracie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Elkhart and active in the Cheerful Helpers Sunday School Class. She attended Elkhart Public Schools and was a loving wife, mother, housewife and friend to many.

In 1944 she married John Weldon Easley, the love of her life. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Norman Lamberth of Tyler, her grandson James Weldon Lamberth of Tyler, a sister Lois Morehead of Elkhart and a sister Louise Brown of Sheldon. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Oscar, Archie and Hayden.

Guiceland Cemetery is the final resting place for many of Gracie's family - many of the Trigg family members and the Easley family members are buried at this cemetery.
