Raonna, long-time resident of Grand Junction and Montrose, Colo., was born Sept. 12, 1959, in Cortez, Colo. to Vernon Dolan and Mary Ellen Moon, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the age of 54. She is survived by her husband, Darrel J. Spradling, of Los Lunas, N.M.; step son Shane Spradling, his wife, Gretchen, and grandson Jackson, of Huntsville, Ala.; step-son Matthew Rodriguez, and his wife, Meghan, of Greeley, Colo.; mother Mary Ellen (Moon) Coffee of Montrose, Colo.; sister Roanna Griffin, and husband Granville of Alvin, Texas; sister Adele Frangos, and husband, William, of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother Mauri E. Dolan of Montrose, Colo.; and three generations of nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends across the country.
Raonna was preceded in death by daughter Danielle M. Dolan (Jan. 4, 1998); father Vernon E. Dolan (Feb. 16, 1961); and step-father Earl M. Coffee (Dec. 30, 1997).
Raonna was "Mama Rae" to many over the years. She was the strength for those who were weak. She spoke boldly for those who could not find the courage. She loved with reckless abandonment, never assessing personal risk, or cost. It will be a different world without her.
Services will be held Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2 pm at French Funeral, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE.
Honorary Pallbearers: Granville Griffin, Mauri E Dolan, William Frangos, Terry Goins, Adam Frangos, Jason Simmons and Jimmy Johnson.

After a while, you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security. And you begin to understand that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises. And you begin to accept your defeats with your head held high and your eyes open, with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child. You learn to build your roads on today, because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And you learn that you really can endure that you really are strong. And that you really do have worth and that you keep learning. With every goodbye you learn (Author unknown)

Lights From Above
@Rita Osborne June 25, 2014
Walking through shadows of yesterday,
Looking for answers to questions left unknown,
Searching through memories and thoughts of what might have been, Forgetting what is and has been, Losing track of the here and now, Look not to those things of long ago, Look to what is, Looking toward the stars, Now I see,
Knowing you are there to watch over me, Memories of all that we are and can be, Holding you dear to my heart,
Lights from the stars above, Light the way before you now,
Treasures you have many, Treasures you shall see, Watch over us all, Watch over us now, Look not the question of why, Search only inside, The answers can be found,
Families are for but an eternity, Shall always be within,
Watching over me now and forever, Raonna you are among those above, Watching each day, Protecting each night,
Thoughts of you shall always be, Within the thoughts of those who you could never see.
