He lived in Preston, Conn., where his children were born and with his wife was buried there. "All my Land In the township of Preston, with all my housing and shope tols" went to him by his father's will, of which he was a coexecutor. Though he had the tools, he did not seem to take to the "smithing" trade of his senior; contented in working his farm, at least a portion of its surface being sufficiently rocky and stony to need more than ordinary attention.
