I have further information on Col Elias Sanford Palmer who is a part my family tree. My grandmother give me Col Palmer's diary back a few years ago.

Officer in the American Revolution. He was First Lieutenant of the Fourth Com-
pany in Colonel Samuel Selden's regiment which was raised to re-enforce Washington in New York; served in New York and Long Island; were caught in the panic on the retreat of September 15, 1776, when New York city was abandoned and suffered severe loss; this company remained with the army until December 25, 1776.
