Thomas Gerbanas, age 82, Veteran US Army Korean War. Beloved husband of Ann "Anthoula" nee Giannakakos; loving father of Pat and Angelo Gerbanas; devoted son of the late Angelo and Panagiota Gerbanas; dear brother of the late Mary and George (the late Carmella) Gerbanas; brother-in-law of Prokopi (Kiki), Peter (Evangelia) and Louie (Stratigoula) Giannakakos; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tom was a member of the Hellenic Post 343 American Legion, North Shore Chapter #94 Order of AHEPA, Laconian Society and Chief Engineers Assoc. of Chicagoland. Visitation Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. at SMITH CORCORAN Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago. Family and friends will meet Tuesday morning at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 W. Winona St., Chicago, IL 60625, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Donations to St. Demetrios Church or to the Greek American Rehab and Care Centre 220 First St. Wheeling, IL 60090 would be appreciated. Arrangements by JOHN G.
