Andy was the first dog I have had since I was 17 years old. I named him after my favorite character from NYPD Blue. Andy kept me company night after night while I was on the computer. To have had to put him to sleep tore the very heart out of the entire family. Andy had a tumor along with a couple of other maladies. There's an old saying that you don't own a basset hound, they own you.

On December 2, 2008 Andy was joined by his friend, Buddy.
