Romona Belarde passed away unexpectedly on April 20th at the age of 86. She has now joined her husband Eddie Belarde. She is the mother of Esther Pasko, Jerry Freyda, Michael Belarde, and her late daughter Bridget Martinez along with many grand-children along with many great grand-children.
Romana was known to put forth for her family. She was loving in every aspect. Through good times or adversity she was there no matter what. Knowing how much her family meant to her, She managed to keep her priorities straight. What can be more important than loving and showing your love for your family? This perseverance through adversity is a powerful lesson for us, and I believe it is her legacy. What a wonderful lesson she gave us to carry on. She will always be remembered for her kindness.
Romona known as my Aunt Senida was my Padrina (God Mother). She always treated me with the most respect. She always showered me with gifts, never forgetting my Birthday, Christmas etc: She was very special to me and will always stay in my heart.
Romona loved playing Bingo occasionaly. She also loved to shop for her loved ones. She also cherished giving to charities and benifits. And more than anything, she loved God. God will make sure he watches over her. He has a plan for her. She will be missed by everyone she touched.
Services were at St. Catherine's on 42nd Federal Denver Co. Burial was at Fort Logan cemetery, also in Denver.
