JD Bailey Former Austin, Texas resident JD Bailey, 84, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012, at his home in Dardanelle, AR.

He was born October 17, 1928 in Webberville, TX., the Son of John William and Frances Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Judie Bailey, a sister, Juanita Graff and a son, Joe Douglas Bailey.

He is survived by his son, Terry Bailey and daughter-in-law, Vicki Bailey; daughter, Sheryl Ann Donovan; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He served in the Marines and was a veteran of Foreign Wars. After serving in the military JD spent most of his working years as a truck driver. Later he retired from the State Purchasing and General Services Commission as a Security Officer.

JD was a loving father and Papaw who shared his zest for life. He loved to share stories of his past with his children and grandchildren. He lived a very blessed life and was loved dearly by all of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation for Mr. Bailey will be held on Tuesday, November 27th, 2012 from 6pm to 8 pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home at 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, November 28th, 2012 at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park at 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749. Condolences may be made at www.cookwaldenforestoaks.com.
