Howard Loving was born on March 6, 1937 in Austin, Texas to the union of Leroy Loving and Emma Collins-Loving. He was the 5th child born to this union.
He graduated from L.C. Anderson High School in 1955, and joined the military after high school where he served 25 years until he retired honorably.
He worked for Travis County where he later retired.
His first union was to Bertha Thomas for 16 1/2 years, and in 1965 Howard Loving, Jr. was added to the union. In his second union his wife Alfreda E. Jackson and three sons, Michael Jones, Kevin Jones and William O'Brian Jones.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Loving, Sr. and Emma Collins-Loving, one brother Leroy Loving, Jr., two sisters, Amanda Loving-Owens and Fannie Loving-Cook.
Reverend Loving leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Alfreda Loving; his four sons, Howard Loving, Jr., Michael Jones, Kevin Jones and William O'Brian Jones; two brothers, Willie B. Loving (Algerine) and Pastor Bobby Joe Loving (Iris); two sisters, Earnestine Loving-Carter (Pastor James Carter) and Mary Emma Loving-Harrison; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a multitude of family and friends.
