James Vincent Barone was a very special child. He made such an impact on everyone's life he touched. James had the most beautiful dimples and a smile that could melt your heart. He had the sweetest disposition. Just like his mommy. He lived on this earth for 381 days, and then God sent his angels to take James safely home.

James, you have left your tiny little footprints on our hearts forever! Your beautiful mommy, grandpa and I keep your memory alive by talking about you and loving you every day. We know you are in a better place now. No more pain and suffering. If life had been kinder, you would have had such a wonderful life. It wasn't meant to be. I can't help ask, "But Why?" You Are Forever Loved!

James sent us a sign he was okay less than a week after he had passed away. James was born blind and deaf and had many other complications while here on earth. Last year for his birthday as one of his many gifts, I bought him an outfit that had a little pair of blue sandals that resembled slippers. He was wearing that outfit the day he passed but wasn't wearing the little sandals. James went to my son in a dream and asked for his little blue slippers. When my son told me, I was flabbergasted. My son living in another state had no way of knowing what the baby was wearing when he passed. I took it as a sign from him that he got to heaven (not that I ever doubted it) and can see and hear and he is now perfect. It gave me a tremendous sense of peace. I have had many beautiful dreams of my grandbaby. The one that stands out in my mind is he called me "Angel" in one of my dreams. Well, I have brought quite a few angel statues to him at the cemetery. Think he's trying to tell me something? In each dream, I get to see him, hold him, hug and kiss him once again. I consider that such a wonderful gift. As for the little blue slippers we left them at the cemetery for James.

A Poem My Daughter (James'Mommy) Wrote
"My Mommy's Kisses"
Kisses so soft upon my face
I love my mommy's warm embrace
No one can ever take her place
I feel her heart beating so close to
mine
These are the ties that bind
I feel her touch so warm and tender
My mommy's love is true splendor
My heart is full of joy when she is
near
I wish I could kiss away each tear
Whether near or from afar
I"ll always be my mommy's shining
star.
