Bessie Ann was born in Iowa to William Jasper and Mary Elizabeth (Lambert)Shields. Bessie Ann gave birth to Baby Boy Conner and both died on November 22, 1916, she of Broncho Pneumonia and complications from Measles. They are buried together in the Covelo Cemetery(Valley View Cemetery).
Bessie Ann was 39yrs 10mo 14dys at time of death. She was married to William Douglas Conner and they had five children, Myrtie, Mathew, Mary Edna, Mabel, Mildred. All were born in Covelo,Mendocino Co.,CA.
