Esther A Seddon was born 2 February 1844 in Upland, Lancaster, England to Richard Seddon and Anne Wilson.
Esther's mother died in 1851 in England. After joining the LDS church Her father, Elizabeth, and Esther immigrated to Utah. They crossed the plain in 1856 with the Edward Martin Company.
Esther was twelve years old at the time of Immigration.

Ester married Henry Clay Forbes in 1861 at the age of 16. They West back East to Nebraska where their first two children we born. Henry served in the Civil War and after getting out got a job with the railroad. He brought his family back to Utah. They went to the Curlew Valley, near Corinne, where they settled in the small railroad town of Kelton, a few miles from Promontory Point.
While living there Henry became infected with spinal Fever and passed away January 1st, 1878. Two months later on March 2nd, one day after giving birth to her son Henry, she also passed away from spinal fever. Baby Henry also passed away the same day, shortly after his Mother.
