Beloved son of Daniel and Maria Rodriguez. Dear little brother to Kayla and big brother to Julian. Gyovone was the most beloved grandson of my dearest and best friend Jackie and Fred Fernanadez. He loved to smile and make people happy. He was wise beyond his years. Recently his grandma learned how much he liked to cook. His favorite color was red. That could just be why he wanted to be a fireman someday. He loved Sponge Bob and playing with his dad. Gyovonye was first diagnosed with cancer when he was 7-years-old. He went for a full year of treatment until the fight just got too hard and it was his time to go at only 8 years of age. He will be sorely missed by all the lives that have touched his. One day during his illness, his grandma Jackie spent the night in his bed. She woke up with coins and paper currency stuck to her face. That was when she found out that Gyovonye used his pillow as his piggy bank! From then on, Jackie always made sure he had some cash under his pillow. His great grandma Joyce Rodriguez met him at the gates of heaven. Gyovonye leaves behind his loving and devoted father Daniel, mother, dear Great Grandpa Ismael, Grandma Jackie, Grandpa Fred, Aunt Rebecca, Uncle Tony, Cousins Madelynne, Joey and Alexazandria and many other loving relatives and friends.

When a wife loses her husband, she is a widow. When a husband loses his wife, he is a widower. When children lose their parents, they are called orphans. When one loses a child, there is no word. Because there is no word that can hold such sorrow.
