DAVID VANCE TURRAGE II, 10 months, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at his residence. Born June 6, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital, he was the son of David Vance Turrage I and Christina (Mora). He is also survived by his sister, Emily Turnage. Boy dies after life support removed

A 10-month-old boy who nearly drowned April 9 has died. His family pulled the child off life support after he was pronounced brain-dead, Fort Wayne Police Department

spokeswoman Robin Thompson said.

David Turnage II was found unconscious after a caregiver briefly left him alone in the bathtub of an apartment in the 8400 block of Bridgeway Drive. The boy was not breathing when medics arrived on the scene, according to police.

The boy had been listed in critical condition for several days, and police were treating the case as an accident.
