Bear was an elderly German Shepherd that lived at the dairy farm where I work part-time. I called him "Care Bear".
He liked to be my little helper & would always keep an eye on things while I was milking the cows. He wasn't scared of them - he'd sit in the middle of the aisle while they came walking in.
Even though he was old & had trouble walking, he'd always do his best to run over & greet me when I arrived. He was the sweetest thing.
Bear had to be put to sleep because of his arthritic legs. He lived a long life & was well-loved.
