Miss Gillette was born in Summer Hill. She was a bookkeeper and also owned a plumbing company.
Miss Gillette was a member of United Community Church, the Professional Women's Club, 20th Century Club, Four Score Club and the Cortland Grange.
Surviving are a brother, Edward Gillette of Cortland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in United Community Church. Burial will be at West Homer Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. today at H. Patrick McEvoy & Bush Funeral Home and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
