Bowker – Gillett
Cortland, Jan. 16 – Miss Jennie A. Gillett and Frank Bowker Jr., were married at the home of the bride's mother at Summerhill Thursday by the Rev. T. T. Bradford of Locke. The marriage ceremony was performed in the presence of about seventy guests. The bridal couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. John Gillett, the former being a brother of the bride. The bride was gowned in white lansdown and she carried a bouquet of white carnations. After a sumptuous wedding feast the newly married couple left for a honeymoon trip.

Cortland, May 23 – Mrs. Jennie A. Bowker, died at the Cortland county hospital Sunday night after eight weeks' illness. Mrs. Bowker was born at Summerhill about 33 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Frank D. Bowker of this city, her mother, Mrs. Abilena Gillett of Cortland, two sisters, Mrs. Lena Hollister of Cortland and Mrs. Esther Breeds of Homer, and three brothers, Fred D. Gillett and Edward Gillett of Summerhill and John H. Gillett of this city. Prayer service will be held from the home, 105 Homer avenue, on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 Standard time. The body will be taken to Summerhill for the funeral in the East Baptist church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made at the West Homer cemetery.
