She was born July 1, 1935 in Pittsburgh to the late Donald "Skee" and Florence Eckendahl Theiss. Formerly of Brookville, she was a resident of Sheffield since 1965. She was employed by Sylvania, Sheffield Container, McMillen's, Epstein's, and was a caregiver for many families.
Aileen was a member of Sheffield United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed Bible studies. She was a member of Sheffield VFD Ladies Auxiliary for 37 years, president of Sheffield Homemakers for over 10 years and served as president of the activities group at Sheffield Senior Center, where she was active.
Aileen was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed her family, shopping and crafting.
