Greg was born to John L. Crapo and June L. Romano Crapo and was a native of Elko, Nevada. In 1977, he met my best friend, Marianne Verngren, a native of San Leandro, California, when both were living in Reno, Nevada. They married on her 19th birthday -- February 26, 1978. Greg worked in telephone sales for an electrical supply company, while Marianne did office work for the Catholic Diocese of Reno-Las Vegas. Several years later, they had a daughter. Sadly, Marianne passed away from brain cancer in 1991. Greg subsequently remarried Brenda Leigh Paterick, who also preceded him in death. In addition, Greg was also preceded in death by his mother and younger brother. He was survived by his father, his sister, and his daughter.
