On January 4, 2006, Jeff had a successful heart transplant at Stanford Hospital, but his liver and kidneys could not keep up with the perfect heart he was given. He died of complications due to liver failure. He was strong and brave and did his best to live and thrive. Jeff was born in Redwood City, CA, graduated from San Carlos High School and the College of San Mateo, lived for some time in Seattle and returned to the Bay Area to mark time before meeting and marrying the love of his life. He was an award-winning video editor and graphic artist. He loved martinis, jazz and lounge music, comic books, kitsch, Star Trek novels, aloha shirts, arguing politics and snuggling with his wife at home in their comfy clothes. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, George Belton and he is survived by an extended loving family. We will miss him terribly, remember him with big smiles and hold him in our hearts always.
