Larry arrived in Vietnam 24 February 1968 and was assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
Larry was killed by small arms fire when Golf Company engaged enemy forces above QL-9 and 5 kilometers Southeast of Khe Sanh Airfield.
He was married and had been in Vietnam for 3 months.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Larry Riley, 3-year-old daughter, Dawn and 8-month-old daughter, Lenice and his parents, Lawrence R and Estlean Fay Riley.
