Pearle Irene Bashore, daughter of Orrin C. and Flora Stephens, was born in Greenville, Ohio, September 19, 1892, and died at her late home one mile north of Greenville, Ohio, May 7, 1920, aged 28 years, 7 months and 18 days. She was one of two children, the surviving sister being Mrs. Bert Inman, of Dayton, Ohio. She was married to Simon Bashore January 9th, 1908. Six children were the result of this union; two of whom preceded their mother to the better life. Those surviving her are Raymond, Rogers, Jane and Virgina. She had been in ill health for eighteen months and was confined to the house and bed for the past three months, but she bore up bravely under her affliction, without murmuring or complaining. While she made no public profession of religion, yet it would be hard to believe that during her serious illness she made no spiritual preparation for the great future. There is no doubt that, mother-like, she sent up many a prayer to our Heavenly Father for herself and her dear husband and children. Let us believe that could we lift t[h]e veil today we would see her with the loved ones gone before, safe from all future harm. She leaves her husband, two sons, two daughters, mother, father, one sister and many other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. The funeral services were held from her late home Monday, May 10, at 2 p.m. Sermon by Rev. C. W. Heoffer, of Greenville. The body was buried in the Greenville cemetery.
