Mrs. Esther Ann Breeds, 76, Cortland, R.D. 4, died this morning at her home.
Born Feb. 28, 1876 in the Town of Summerhill, she was the daughter of Henry and Arlene Seolover Gillette. She was the wife of Aaron Breeds.
Mrs. Breeds was a member of the East Summerhill Baptist Church. She was a member of the West Homer Home Improvement Club.
Surviving are her husband, Aaron Breeds; two sons, Henry E., Summerhill, and Chester A. Breeds, Cortland; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel M. Marquis, Freeville; Mrs. Lillian Vossler, Preble, and Mrs. Mildred Darling, Cortland; two brothers, John and Howard Gillette, both of Summerhill; a sister, Miss Lena Gillette, Cortland; 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the East Summerhill Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Samson, pastor, will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday evening, 7:30-8:30 at Briggs Brothers Memorial Home, Homer. Interment will be in Homer West Hill Cemetery.
