Mrs. Margaret E. Hopkins, 69, of 186 Groton Ave., died last night at Cortland Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Arthur E. Hopkins.
Born on Oct. 30, 1888 at Cranbrook, Kent, England, Mrs. Hopkins was the daughter of Edward and Sarah Breeds.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Surviving are a son, Paul E. Hopkins, Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Flora H. Gibson and Mrs. Marjorie H. Jacques, both of Cortland; four brothers, Frank Breeds, Cato, N.Y., Aaron Breeds and Henry Breeds, both of Cortland, and James Breeds, Moravia; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Whatman, Ithaca, and Miss Alma Breeds, Homer; several grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces, including two nieces of England.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Daniel H. Ferry, rector, will officiate. Friends may call at the Beard Memorial Home on Saturday, 2 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Interment will be in the spring in West Homer Cemetery.
