Alice M. Thornton, 81, of 6523 Route 41, Scott, died Monday at home. A native of Cortland, she and her husband operated a dairy farm in Scott for many years. She was a member of Scott United Methodist Church and the Scott Garden Club.
Her husband, Herman L., died in 1995.
Survivors: Three daughters, Shirley J. Thornton of Syracuse, Judy A. Loveatz of Knoxville, Tenn., and Virginia S. Tully of Branchport; four sisters, Agnes Hollenbeck of Homer, Mary Carr and Maude Kurtnacker both of Baldwinsville, and
Bertha Brazo of Marathon; six grandchildren, three great-grandchilren.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, Homer. Burial, Scott Union Cemetery. Calling hours, 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 5016 N. Main St.
