CORTLAND – Chester Aaron Breeds, 65, of 18 Pearl St., died Saturday at Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the H. Patrick McEvoy and Bush Funeral Home, 122, Tompkins St. Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Breeds is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jane Bacon Breeds; two sons, Gary and Michael Breeds, both at home; a daughter, Mrs. David Seamans of Cortland; three sisters, Mrs. James Marquis, Mrs. Robert Vossler and Mrs. Frederick Darling, all of Cortland.
He was born in Cortland, the son of Aaron and Esther Gillette Breeds. He was retired as a fireman at the R. H. Miller Co., Homer. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Cortland and was a former member of the VFW. He was a veteran of World War II.
